All I can really say right now is thanks for the vote of support. This is going to be a great improvement for the sport, something that we all know needed to happen. I know that it is going to cause me a little more drama from time to time, but hey its what we do as promoters, deal with the crap that the racers don't want to!

Nice

Very well put, I agree this is what is suppse to be happening. The sport was getting out of hand and was pretty much on track to becoming a free for all. I know that sounds funny to come from me with the recent 1004cc BBK contraversy but I feel mods like that belong in the Outlaw class, but the stock classes should have rules in place and procedures to enforce them. This will allow more people to race and to be competitive that can't afford the expensive mods. I undestand it will be an adjustment for most, but it will make the competition better.

I feel the most resistance is having to open your motor up at the track. That is of small concern, but it is minimal exsposure t the elements and you will receive more than enough money to pay for gaskets and clean-up from the protest fee if your engine is legal. I will tear one down every time some one wants to pay me to do so. I can use the extra money.

Again, I just want to say great decision, can't wait to see it in action.

I applaud you for this decision, it is going to make the ECMR a far batter series with the level playing field.

The biggest thing that bothers me is when someone with a Brute 650 "This is only an example" has a 916cc FCP motor but is still racing the 650 class. Thats the only thing i have to complain about...thats why there no more racing... I just think not matter the sticker on you atv....race in what cc class you motor is in....Thats all I ask and its simple IMO!!!!!!!!! :D I mean come on...I can smoke anyone in the 500 class if I race my brute in it and its just a stock motor.

I am sorry....I am not one to complain...anyone can look through my posts on any forum and see i never say anything....I just want people to race in the correct CC class. I think more will race if that happens.

Thanks, Mark Barnett

MAN i am glad this is happening..I was coming into my second full year of racing and honestly I was feeling a little intimidated. I was expecting to build the best bike that I could build in my class and still be out powered and easily out run by someone who had built a motor outside the class..Now I am more confident and excited about the upcoming season. We all as racers should feel better about ourselves knowing that we are going to be racing bikes inside our class no matter what a sticker on the side of it says....Thanks ECMR

yeah stan, i agree with you on that. i think we will see a change in the growth of the sport as we make the right choices on the classes to make it more competitive and just not one person winning all the time because of the bike being unfair to the class. i think this is going to be the take off point for ecmr and lets all sit back, race a little bit and whatch this sport go to the top!!!

That Suzuki would have been a good bike to have this year, wouldn't it Dillon? With the single cylinder big bore class.

I got a ? who is going to fix the bikes if the tech messes them up?

say he brakes off a bolt in a cylinder or some thing like that is the ecmr going to buy me new cylinders and have them redone for me .

I dont mind the protest thing at all. All I am tring to say is if some one wants to protest and the ecmr is going to enforce a protest rule then the ecmr or the tech that tears the bike down need to be held accountable for any thing that they mess up. I know it does not happen very often but xxxx does happen and it is going to be a big mess when something does go wrong.

say for example I take my bike to pe to get worked on is one of the tech mess something up then pe is responceable for the damages.

Terry as bad as I hate to put it this way that is part of the process and the ECMR will not be held responsible for anything such as broken bolts. We have taken all the necessary precautions and steps needed to make sure that those kinds of things don't happen. The only other thing I can recommend is make sure you don't have any rusted or seized bolts on your motor. We will have a qualified person for the job and the necessary tools, if you are still uncomfortable with the procedure you are welcome to do the work yourself. If you would like to discuss this any further please feel free to call me 9104659343 or email me at eastcoastmudracing@yahoo.com

Just asking a ?

If I gotta use rusted bolts I dont need to be racing. after reading on another forum the ecmr is goint to have alot more people then just the locals this year and I just though you might want to put it in ink some where.

I just thought I would make a sugestion.

It was a good question I do need to make it clear in the rules also. I hope we don't have to go into anyones motor this year, but at least this way the option is there and hopefully it will keep everyone honest.
